Adding Safety, Style, & Protection to your Ride

Expert XPEL Window Tint Installation Services

Want More Out of Your Vehicle’s Interior? Consider Heat-Rejecting Window Tint!

It is often incorrectly assumed that window tinting merely exists to bring aesthetic value to all types of automobiles. While this is certainly a primary benefit of the best window tint film packages on the market, we at FX Window Tinting feel it to be too simple of an explanation and a shortcoming of all the reasons why you should consider professional window tint film installation for your ride. Yes, window tinting does give your automobile a sleek sports car aesthetic on its exterior, but there is so much more beyond the surface value!

For extensive heat rejection, choose XPEL PRIME XR

First of all, an investment in a window tint film package from FX Window Tinting prevents extensive exposure to UV rays. UV rays from the sun degrade the interior of vehicles, causing fading in upholstery, vinyl, and leather. This then decreases the value of vehicles. Also, those same sun rays cause glare and impairs driver vision, which results in unintentional reckless driving and puts you and your passengers in danger. But with pro window tint installation from FX Window Tinting and our superior XPEL products that we trust, you no longer have to worry about these occurrences!

Thanks to Professionally installed Xpel Tint on your ride, you can rest assured that your auto interior and vision are fully protected. Also, window tinting is known to protect against potential theft and break ins. If you leave a purse or other valuables in your vehicle, it is difficult for thieves to see them from the outside with window tinting. Want to learn more? Top 4 Myths and Facts About XPEL Window Tint Film Packages

Myth 1: All window tint film packages are susceptible to bubbling and cracking

This is incorrect. The susceptibility of window tinting to bubbling, cracking, or other physical malfunctions all depends on how it was applied. Unfortunately, many window tinting service shops are not always adept at the art of window tint installation, which is where you often see these issues. We understand that proper window tint application is an artform. We take our time to provide a comprehensive and thorough tint application that gives you superior UV protection.

Myth 2: Cleaning windows after tinting is a nuisance

Cleaning tinted windows does not take any more effort than cleaning non-tinted windows. Whether you have tinted or non-tinted windows, we would always suggest a non-abrasive cleaner with microfiber towels to avoid any potential scratching to the glass surface. You can also consider coming to FX Window Tinting for regular detailing appointments to keep your XPEL Window Tint Film package in top shape!

Myth 3: Window tinting makes it hard to see

Window tint film packages are scientifically designed to block ultraviolet rays and infrared heat while still providing you with optimal vision for driving. The film itself may look dark from outside the vehicle and block your sight to the interior, but when you are in the driver’s seat, the difference between tinted and non-tinted windows is miniscule. There are also many different tint shades to choose from, so you can choose a lighter tint if you desire.

Myth 4: All window tinting is the same

As easy as it would be to assume so, not all window tinting packages or installation services are the same. There are many different tint shades and styles when it comes to window tinting which help in different environments and locations. We use three different levels of XPEL Window Tinting products, specifically designed for the Wisconsin climate and intensity of the sun.

Wisconsin Rules and Regulations for Tinting Automobile Windows

Whether you realize it or not, each state in our country has very specific window tint laws designed for the safety of drivers and pedestrians out in the world. If you are getting your window tinting service done in a different state, it is important to research your state’s specific laws to ensure the detailing shop complies with them appropriately. Here at FX Window Tinting, we have done our due diligence and extensive research for you so it is easy for you to understand the window tinting laws for the state of Wisconsin.

For all automobiles, which includes everything from sedans and compacts to SUVs and vans, the window tinting laws in Wisconsin are largely the same. The windshield allows for a tint above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line, also known as the windshield strip or sun strip. Front side windows must be no higher than 50% VLT while back side windows and the rear windshield cannot be above 35% VLT. VLT stands for “Visible Light Transmission,” which means that the front windows must let in at least 50% of light and the back side windows and rear windshield must let in at least 35% of light.

Also, all tinting must be non-reflective in the state of Wisconsin. While we at FX Window Tinting do have an XPEL Window Tint Film package that often boasts some metallic appearance, it is still well within the limits of what is legal in regards to window tinting in our state.
